What to do when you have a flat tyre?

First, take care of your own safety and that of other road users.

Slow down and stop safely

Pull over as far from traffic as possible.

Turn on your hazard lights

Make sure other road users notice the situation.

Move away from traffic

Exit the car on the safe side and stay off the roadway.

Set up a warning triangle

Place the triangle far enough from the car, if it is safe to do so.

Don't drive on a flat tyre

Driving can damage the rim and make the tyre impossible to repair. Stop as soon as it's safe.
